Scaling for Success Workshop Series

The second session in this four-part series, Moving Up: Strategic Alliance, takes place on Tuesday, November 9, from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. PST. The interactive session, presented by Women's Enterprise Centre (WEC), is open to everyone and offers pay-what-you-can options. New Faces on Campus: Empowering Learners, Supporting the Region

On Tuesday, November 9, from 11:45 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. PST, the Kelowna Chamber of Commerce will be hosting its next Okanagan College Series session as an in-person luncheon. Taking place at the Coast Capri Hotel, attendees will hear from Lesley Cormack, Deputy Vice-Chancellor and Principal of UBC’s Okanagan campus, and Neil Fassina, President of Okanagan College, who are both "newly at the helm of their respective institutions." Pre-Opening Best Practices for Ski Area Accommodators

The BC Hotel Association (BCHA), go2HR, and Canada West Ski Area Association (CWSAA) are co-hosting this virtual session on Wednesday, November 10, at 1 p.m. PST. Accommodators are invited to join in the session, which will provide "tips for training and onboarding, safety, and the latest in best practices for reopening." Registration can be completed through Zoom.


Engaging & Hiring Student Talent

The Interior & Northern Work Integrated Learning (INWIL) initiative will be hosting a virtual session on Wednesday, November 10, from 12 – 1 p.m. PST, to provide employers with information on "hiring or engaging a student through the INWIL partnership" between Thompson Rivers University (TRU), the University of British Columbia Okanagan (UBCO), and University of Northern British Columbia (UNBC). Customer Engagement Strategies for 2022 and Beyond

Skift, a leading news outlet for the global tourism industry, and Braze, a comprehensive customer engagement platform, have partnered to host a virtual panel discussion on Thursday, November 11, at 8 a.m. PST. The discussion will focus on industry trends, the state of the industry, and real-world examples of brands that have successfully increased engagement. Remembrance Day Open House

The Okanagan Military Museum is hosting a family-friendly open house on Thursday, November 11, from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m., in recognition of Remembrance Day. Admission is by donation. Visit the Kelowna Museums website for more information. 


BCHA Live Industry Update Series

The BC Hotel Association is inviting Kelowna and area accommodators to join them, in-person, at Eldorado Resort on Monday, November 15, for a free information session about the organization's advocacy work on behalf of the industry. Uncovering the Power of LinkedIn

Join the Kelowna Chamber of Commerce on Tuesday, November 16, from 1 – 2 p.m. PST, for its next Business Smarts Webinar. The session, presented by Shari Pash, Founder of Strategic Solutions for Growth, will focus on how to strategically use LinkedIn as part of your sales strategy.
