Roots to Success: Risk Management Training Workshops for Fruit Tree and Grape Growers
On Monday, November 28, fruit tree and grape growers are invited to join an in-person workshop "to increase their ability to assess and address risks using a comprehensive approach to managing risk on the farm." The free session, which will take place at Soma Cidery in Kelowna, is being presented by Farm Management Canada and the Government of BC. Navigating LGBT+ Diversity & Inclusion in the Tourism Industry
Tourism-related businesses are invited to join the CGLCC on Tuesday, November 29, to "learn about LGBT+ inclusion and how to effectively understand, value, and serve LGBT+ customers and employees." Miracle on Okanagan Gala
The first annual Miracle on Okanagan Gala is set to take place at the Laurel Packinghouse on Friday, December 3. Proceeds from the fundraising gala will go towards purchasing holiday care packages for Okanagan care facility patients, which will be distributed on December 24 and 25. The remainder of the proceeds will be donated to Ronald McDonald House BC & Yukon. Learn more about the event and purchase tickets here.
Business Smarts: Slouch Less, Stretch More
The Kelowna Chamber is presenting its next Business Smarts session in partnership with Valeo Health Clinic. Join Chiropractor, Dr. Ben Whiles, to learn more about how to set up an ergonomically correct workspace and for stretches that you can incorporate during your work day. The session will take place in person at Valeo Health Clinic from 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. PST. Tickets are $10 for members and $20 for non-members. Members of Kelowna's 2SLGBTQIA+ community and allies are invited to network, gather, and socialize at MX., presented by TD Bank and sponsored by Sarah Sucloy. Hosted by Rebellious Unicorns at Friends of Dorothy Lounge on the first Wednesday of every month, MX. is "an opportunity to meet like-minded people away from those lovely apps."
