Tourism Week in Canada 2022 | Travel Now: For Work, Life, and Play!
Tourism Week in Canada 2022 kicks off on Sunday, May 29 and runs until Sunday, June 4. This year's theme, Travel Now: For Work, Life, and Play!, celebrates the return of travel and tourism. This year, TIAC is challenging destinations, landmarks, attractions, venues and hotels to light up in green from May 29-June 4 as part of their #GreenMeansGo campaign to raise awareness of the tourism industry’s economic, social, and cultural importance in Canada.

Kelowna Visitor Centre Tourism Week Open House
To celebrate the week, our team will be hosting an Open House at the Kelowna Visitor Centre on Thursday, June 2—drop by any time between 8:30 a.m. and 8:30 p.m. and chat with our team to learn more about our local tourism industry and the work Tourism Kelowna does to support our region.
Diversity & Inclusion Training Series
The Greater Vancouver Board of Trade's Diversity and Inclusion Leadership Council (DLC) has partnered with the Canadian Centre for Diversity and Inclusion (CCDI) to offer a five-session virtual training series—upcoming sessions include:
- May 26: Including Persons with Disabilities
- June 2: Race and Ethnicity in Canada

2nd Annual Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Leadership Forum
Women in Leadership Foundation (WIL) is hosting its second annual DEI Leadership Forum on Wednesday, June 1. The day-long event, which runs from 8 a.m. to 3:15 p.m., will include a variety of sessions focused on "the topic of diversity, equity, and inclusion and how we can break barriers to advance gender diversity in business." Navigating the Cybersecurity Landscape

Western Canada Fundraising Conference (WCFC)
Non-profit organizations are invited to join the 7th annual WCFC, taking place at the Coast Capri Hotel from June 8 – 10. The conference includes a variety of sessions focused on fundraising for charities and not-for-profit organizations, as well as opportunities to network with fundraising professionals from across Western Canada.
