Elements of Truth: Before Reconciliation
The third workshop in kinSHIFT and Purppl's Elements of Truth: Before Reconciliation series, Fire: Awareness of Power and Privilege, takes place on Monday, January 24, with the final session, Water: Shared Responsibilities, taking place on Monday, January 31. Each of the workshops is 2.5 hours long, taking place from 5-7:30 p.m. PST.
The series will also be offered from the beginning starting on February 4, running each Thursday in the month from 9:30 a.m. – 12 p.m. PST. For more information on each workshop and to register, visit the kinSHIFT website.
Carbon Footprint Measurement, Reduction and Offsetting 101
Join GreenStep on Tuesday, January 25, at 10 a.m. PST to learn more about how your company can measure your carbon footprint and to find out what tactics you can use to reduce or offset your carbon emissions. Registration for this free online session can be completed through Zoom.

Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Training Workshop
KCR Community Resources will be hosting this two-day, in-person session at the Rotary Centre for the Arts on January 26 and February 2 from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. PST. The workshop, which costs $20 to attend, will introduce and explore "the topics of justice, equity, diversity and inclusion and why they matter in 2022." Registration can be completed through the KCR Community Resources website.
Hybrid Events - Here to Stay?
Join the Canadian Society of Association Executives (CSAE) BC Executive Roundtable on Wednesday, January 26, from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. PST, where guest speaker, John Daugulis from Venue West, will talk about best practices for hybrid events and engage the group in a discussion about when to use hybrid events. Members and non-members are invited to register for the free, online session, which will also include networking opportunities.
Tourism's Big Shift Industry Webinar
On Tuesday, February 1, at 10 a.m. PST, Destination Canada will be hosting an Industry Webinar to discuss the findings of its recent report, Tourism's Big Shift. A French language version of the session will follow at 10 a.m. PST on February 2.

- The IMPACT Sustainability Travel & Tourism Conference will now place in Victoria from May 8 – 11, with a robust agenda covering a wide variety of topics.
- The second-annual BC Tourism & Hospitality Conference, hosted by the Tourism Industry Association of BC and BC Hotel Associations, will take place in Richmond, BC, from March 9 – 11.
