Okanagan College Tourism Event
Okanagan College's School of Business is hosting an event for tourism and hospitality community leaders, professionals, and entrepreneurs, where they can network with students and faculty and learn about tourism trends with the evening's fireside chat. The event takes place Wednesday, April 10, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the Trades Building Atrium of the Kelowna Campus. Please RSVP by April 8 to Amanda Cockburn at acockburn@okanagan.bc.ca.
Tourism & Hospitality Hiring Event
WorkBC Kelowna is hosting a hiring event on Thursday, April 11, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Admission to the event is free; however, advance registration is recommended. Find out more and register here.
Tourism Kelowna Stewardship Symposium
Join our team during National Tourism Week for a day of workshops, idea sharing, and inspiration regarding sustainability and stewardship. This event will occur on Tuesday, April 16, 2024, at the Laurel Packing House from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. Each of the following sessions will be approximately 45 minutes with time for Q&A's after:
- Educating your guests: 7 Generations Pledge & Regional Sustainability by Thompson Okanagan Tourism Association
- Water Conservation & Invasive Species by Okanagan Basin Water Board
- Environmental, Economic, and Cultural Sustainability Inspiration by Tourism Kelowna

Admission to this in-person event is complimentary; however, advanced registration is required. A networking lunch will be provided.
Kelowna Chamber Speaker Series
The Chamber's next Speaker Series, presented by Okanagan College School of Business, features BC Minister of Finance, the Honourable Katrine Conroy. The luncheon event will occur on Tuesday, April 16, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Coast Capri Hotel. Tickets must be purchased by noon on Wednesday, April 10, through the Chamber website.

Small Business BC and BCAA Small Business Insurance are hosting a day of free education, networking, and inspiration. Register for this free event—from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Wednesday, April 17, at the Laurel Packinghouse—to hear from local entrepreneurs, explore the onsite trade show, and learn more about navigating the ever-changing economy.
