Tourism Leadership Essentials

As part of its work with the BC Tourism Resiliency Network, the Thompson Okanagan Tourism Association (TOTA) has partnered with Okanagan College to launch a complimentary, 7-week online program for tourism professionals in the region. Starting Tuesday, April 12, participants will attend a 2-hour session each Tuesday and Thursday (from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. PDT) to learn more about the leadership skills required in today's workplaces. Human Rights and the Duty to Accommodate

Employment, labour, and human rights Lawyer, Kelsey Wheelhouse, will be the featured speaker at this online session on Wednesday, April 13, from 11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. PDT. The webinar, which is being hosted by Community Futures North Okanagan, will provide employers with best practices and practical tips as it relates to their duty to accommodate employees. How Leaders Can Influence Corporate Culture

The Women in Leadership Foundation's (WIL) Saskatchewan Chapter is inviting business leaders to attend this 1-hour webinar to learn more about the importance of corporate culture and how they can affect positively affect culture to contribute to their team's success. BC Grant Writing Workshop

On Tuesday, April 19, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. PDT, join TOTA and Indigenous Tourism BC to learn more about grants—including the types of grants available and where to find them—and how to set yourself up for success throughout the grant proposal process. Tickets for the session are $21 and can be purchased through the TOTA website
