For the first time ever, Tourism Kelowna's website has received over 1 million visits (sessions) over the period of a year.
From September 1, 2018, to August 31, 2019, tourismkelowna.com had more than 1 million visits, which is an increase of 28% year-over-year (YOY). Not only did the website break the record for the number of visits, but it also received the most pageviews ever, with over 2.3 million, an increase of 27% YOY.
The success of the website is attributable to a number of factors: our SEO (Search Engine Optimization) is strong; the content we create keeps bringing people to the site and keeps everything fresh; our advertising continues to perform well; our social media channels keep growing; the fresh, new website design keeps visitors engaged and delivers a positive user experience.
The positive growth of our website means increased opportunities for visitors to learn about the products and services available in the region, to visit stakeholders' websites, and to book experiences. Our website content is created to inform visitors about things to see and do in Kelowna, to provide them with interesting tidbits about the area, and to encourage them to explore as many parts of Kelowna as possible.
