In today’s ever-changing economic landscape, Kelowna’s ability to cultivate a thriving business sector for young professionals is vital for the city’s continued growth. The Okanagan Young Professionals (OYP) Collective was formed with the goal of creating “a dynamic, vibrant, and engaged culture and community that attracts and retains talented professionals in their 20s and 30s to the Okanagan Valley.”

To develop this culture and community, OYP Collective is bringing together young professionals from a variety of industries as Members of Influence. These individuals, who have committed to a one-year board term, will work together to understand the region’s challenges and opportunities, and to celebrate its successes along the way.

Tourism Kelowna’s Visitor Experience Manager, Chris Lewis, is proud to be part of OYP Collective’s Member of Influence board, acting as the representative of the tourism sector. Along with his various accomplishments working with Tourism Kelowna, Chris’ dedication to the tourism industry was recognized by Destinations International when he was the only Canadian named to their 30 under 30 program in 2016.
