Are you a Tourism Kelowna voting member? Are you interested in being part of a dynamic team of community leaders representing a broad spectrum of Kelowna’s tourism industry? If you answered yes, you might be eligible for election to Tourism Kelowna's Board of Directors.

The Board seeks to fill two (2) seats from the accommodations sector and two (2) seats from tourism-related businesses; all seats are two-year terms (May 2025 to May 2027).

Tourism Kelowna Directors are volunteers from diverse professional backgrounds elected to the Board to establish the strategic direction for Tourism Kelowna. 


Board Eligibility

Nominees must be Tourism Kelowna voting members in good standing. A voting member is a primary contact for a Central Okanagan tourism-related business that is a member of Tourism Kelowna*. Please see the Nomination Form for the specific skills and background we seek.


Nomination Process

Call for nominations and reminders are emailed to all voting members between March 5 and March 18, 2025. Nomination packages must be received by 4 p.m. on Tuesday, March 18, 2025. The Nominations Committee will prepare a ballot showing all nomination submissions, which may include a Board-endorsed slate.

Election Process

Voting will take place electronically via e-mail to all voting members. Voting opens on April 2, 2025, and closes at 4 p.m. on April 16, 2025.

Successful candidates will be publicly announced at the Tourism Kelowna Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Wednesday, May 21, 2025.

*Please note: A Central Okanagan accommodation business who collects and remits a 3% guest tax via Kelowna's Municipal Regional and District Tax or a voluntary 3% Destination Marketing Fee that is allocated towards Tourism Kelowna destination marketing becomes a member automatically and at no charge, with full marketing and voting benefits, including Board eligibility.
