Are you a Tourism Kelowna voting member? Are you interested in being part of a dynamic team of community leaders representing a broad spectrum of Kelowna’s tourism industry? Then you might be eligible for election to the Tourism Kelowna Board of Directors.

The Board seeks to fill four seats from the accommodations sector and one seat from tourism-related businesses; all seats are two-year terms (May 2023 to May 2025).

Tourism Kelowna Directors are volunteers from diverse professional backgrounds elected to the Board to establish the strategic direction for Tourism Kelowna.


Board Eligibility

Nominees must be Tourism Kelowna voting members in good standing as of February 1, 2023. A voting member is a primary contact for a Central Okanagan tourism-related business that is a member of Tourism Kelowna. Please see the Nomination Form for the specific skills and background we seek.


Nomination Process

Call for nominations and reminders are issued by email to all voting members between February 28 to March 14, 2023. Nomination packages must be received by 5 p.m. on Tuesday, March 14, 2023. The Board Development Committee will prepare a ballot showing all nomination submissions, which may include a Board-endorsed slate.

Election Process

Voting will take place electronically via e-mail to all voting members. Voting opens on April 4, 2023, and closes at 5 p.m. on April 18, 2023. Successful candidates will be notified following the Board meeting on April 26, 2023. Successful candidates will be publicly announced at the Tourism Kelowna Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Tuesday, May 9, 2023, at the Delta Hotels by Marriott Grand Okanagan Resort.
