Do you know a small business in BC that deserves to be recognized for the work they do? Or are you proud of what you’ve achieved in your own business? Through the ongoing challenges of the past two years, small businesses have had to continuously adapt, so celebrating and recognizing their resiliency and hard work is more important than ever.

Nominations for the Small Business BC (SBBC) Awards are open for the following two award categories:

  • Business Impact Award: This award will go to a business owner(s) or organization that has taken positive action to invest in the community and sees social responsibility as an integral part of business success.
  • Premier's People's Choice:  This award is presented to a BC-based small business that can demonstrate they have the unwavering and loyal support of their community. The winner is determined based solely on the number of votes a nominee receives.

The Top 5 finalists in the Business Impact Award category—which will be determined through a combination of online voting and answers provided in the applications—will be required to make a 10-minute presentation in front of a panel of judges who will then select the winner. The Premier’s People’s Choice award is based solely on the number of votes a nominee receives—there is no panel presentation required.

Nominations are being accepted until February 28 and winners will be announced in a virtual ceremony on April 28.
