Have you ever flown to another country for lunch? On Saturday, November 3, five meeting planners from Seattle did!
Nicolle Gomez de Sousa, Tourism Kelowna’s Business Development Consultant working in the Seattle market, hosted the meeting planners for a special luncheon at Quails' Gate Winery. Hosting alongside Nicolle were nine of our tourism partners including The Cove Lakeside Resort, Delta Hotels by Marriott Grand Okanagan Resort, Summerhill Pyramid Winery, Cantrav, Bluestar Charters, Kelowna Ramada Hotel and Conference Centre, Coast Capri Hotel, and Argus Properties.
The planners were able to experience first hand how easy it is to get to Kelowna, as they flew in on the direct flight from SeaTac arriving at 11 a.m. and returned on the direct flight at 3:30 p.m. Although the clients were only in Kelowna for a short time, they were all able to enjoy a taste of our city and they have all been invited back to experience a more detailed and customized familiarization trip.
