Navigating the various government support options and business requirements during the COVID-19 pandemic while operating your business can be a challenge; however, there are advisory services available to help make the process easier as we work towards recovery.
COVID-19 Safety Plan Review Initiative
In accordance with provincial health orders, all businesses must have an up-to-date COVID-19 safety plan, posted both at their place of business and on their consumer-facing website, if applicable. As part of a new service offering in support of businesses in the tourism industry, go2HR's health and safety experts will review your safety plan, free of charge, to ensure they comply with current requirements. Registration for the program can be completed online.
Thompson Okanagan Tourism Resiliency Program
Tourism-related businesses who have questions about the outlined guidelines, or about the government supports available to businesses, can register for the Thompson Okanagan Tourism Resiliency Program. Delivered by the Thompson Okanagan Tourism Association, Program Advisors will provide one-on-one support to tourism businesses in the region.
Small Business BC Programs and Services
Destination BC (DBC) and Small Business BC (SBBC) have partnered to support tourism businesses, who can now access SBBC's various services free of charge. Through referral from DBC, businesses can set up appointments with business advisors and experts, as well as consult with SBBC staff on strategic business planning targeted for your individual business. Visit DBC's website for more information.
