In March of this year, Tourism Kelowna and the Downtown Kelowna Association sat down to discuss options for sharing information about public restroom availability in the downtown area, as many businesses have been required to post signs stating "No Public Washrooms Available" or "Washrooms are for Customer Use Only."
As a result of this conversation, we have created new window cling decals displaying a web link and QR code which can be used to find the closest public restroom. We originally started by building a map of all of Downtown Kelowna's public restrooms and then expanded this list to cover the entire Central Okanagan. This includes the communities of Kelowna, Lake Country, West Kelowna, Westbank First Nation, and Peachland. Distribution of these decals throughout Downtown Kelowna began on Friday, June 14, and will continue into the following weeks.
