This summer, the majority of Bernard Avenue is closed to traffic, creating a pedestrian-friendly area that can be enjoyed by visitors and residents alike. As part of the initiative, the City of Kelowna has created an 'animation zone' as a creative solution to provide entertainment for those exploring downtown.
As many of Kelowna's summer events had to be canceled, the animation zone, which is located in the 400 block of Bernard Avenue, is another way to keep people engaged and having fun. The City is inviting organizations, community groups, and businesses to set up activations in the zone.
Contact the City of Kelowna Event Services Team at firstname.lastname@example.org or 250-469-8423 to learn more about how you can participate. All activations must adhere to provincial and municipal directed COVID-19 guidelines.
