Sydney Solland, a Business Administration - Tourism Management student at Okanagan College, will be starting a new position in the Kelowna Visitor Centre this week. Sydney has worked as a Visitor Experience Specialist with Tourism Kelowna for the last 13 months and will be moving up to cover the Visitor Experience, Operations role for Morgan Hunter, who will be on maternity leave beginning May 10.
Tourism Kelowna is excited to be able to promote from within to cover this important role during Morgan's leave. Sydney's education through the Tourism Management program, combined with her experience as a hardworking member of our team, will make the transition very easy, allowing Morgan to enjoy her leave and spend time with her growing family. The position of Visitor Experience, Operations is responsible for the co-ordination of volunteers, scheduling, and logistics of the Kelowna Visitor Centre, the Tourism Kelowna Airport Information Kiosk, and the Mobile Visitor Experience team.
