Each year, the Kelowna Chamber of Commerce celebrates area businesses with its Business Excellence Awards. The 2021 awards, whose theme is "Rockin' Resilience," will recognize local businesses that have persevered through the challenges of the past year with innovation, leadership, and resiliency.
Nominations for the 16 award categories are now being accepted, including the Excellence in Tourism category, which "recognizes the impact of tourism on our local economy and the outright excellence of many of our attractions and venues."
Other categories accepting nominations include, but are not limited to:
- Not-for-profit Excellence
- Social Leadership
- Marketing Campaign of the Year
- Arts & Entertainment
- Indigenous Business of the Year
- Environmental Impact
- Excellence in Agriculture
There are many local businesses that deserve to be recognized, so we encourage you to submit as many nominations as you see fit, whether it is on behalf of your own organization or others in the community.
The awards, which are co-presented by Kelowna Chamber of Commerce and sponsors, Farris LLP and Interior Savings Credit Union, will be handed out in a ceremony later this year. More information about the Business Excellence Awards is available on the Chamber website.
