On Saturday, November 7, BC’s Provincial Health Officer (PHO), Dr. Bonnie Henry, announced a new temporary, regional order for the Lower Mainland and Fraser Valley, which includes a variety of restrictions on social interactions and revised travel guidance.
As part of this order, which is in place until 12 p.m. on November 23, Dr. Henry is recommending that non-essential travel to and from the Lower Mainland and Fraser Valley regions be postponed. While these new measures affect the Fraser Health and Vancouver Coastal Health regions directly, they include visitors who may travel to Kelowna.
Earlier this week, in-line with these new recommendations from the Provincial Health Officer, we paused our paid advertising in regions where non-essential travel is not recommended. We will continue to provide information and assistance to travellers who are seeking guidance or booking future travel.
We are closely monitoring the updates from provincial health leaders and will adjust our activities and respond accordingly. We support and appreciate the work being done to manage the public health issue and to keep our economy as open as possible to help local businesses persevere through this most challenging time.
