The City of Kelowna has launched a new grant program to support eligible non-profit organizations that continue to be impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Recovery and Sustainability Grant Program will provide funding—between $5,000 to $10,000—to eligible organizations within the sport, event, and cultural sectors. As part of the program, selected organizations will work with a consultant (provided at no cost) to develop a plan that identifies how the awarded funds will be used as part of the organization's recovery process and for longer-term sustainability.

“We recognize that ongoing measures and restrictions as a result of COVID-19 continue to impact many of our local non-profit organizations through lost ticket sales, cancelled events, festivals and even full sports seasons,” said Jim Gabriel, Divisional Director of Active Living and Culture, City of Kelowna. "Providing this opportunity to help sustain and reinvigorate the arts, sport and event sectors will only benefit our community in the long run as we work toward economic recovery.”
