Cancellation and Postponement of Major Sporting Events in Canada
On Thursday, May 7, starting at 10 a.m. PDT, Canadian Sport Tourism Alliance (CSTA) will host a webinar hosted by Benoit Girardin, event expert and lead strategist at LBB Sport, to discuss the impacts of COVID-19 on sporting events. The webinar will also include a panel discussion with three Canadian sport leaders: Debra Armstrong, CEO of Skate Canada (ISU World Figure Skating Championships); Eugène Lapierre, VP and Tournament Director for Tennis Canada’s Rogers Cup; and, Ahmed El-Awadi, CEO of Swimming Canada (SNC Olympic trials).
