In line with requests from provincial and federal public health officials, we will be postponing our Global Meetings Industry Day luncheon that was scheduled for April 14 at Eldorado Resort - Manteo Hotel. It is important to note that this event is not cancelled, it is merely postponed until we can determine a time that it is acceptable to bring our industry back together to discuss the importance and economic impact of meetings, conferences, and events.
The meetings and conferences industry has been hit particularly hard with cancellations due to the COVID-19 pandemic and it will be important to reunite, talk about business recovery. and once again remind the world of the value of face-to-face meetings.
All those that purchased tickets will be refunded the full cost of their attendance. Once we are able to confirm a new date, we will share details of the Kelowna Global Meetings Industry Day event.
