For the month of August, Tourism Kelowna will be featuring the art of Nancy Vince as part of our feature artist program. Vince is the fourth artist that has been featured in the Kelowna Visitor Centre alongside many others who participate in the retail program. Previously featured artists include Jeanine Lott, Leanne Spanza, and Will Ens.
Nancy and her husband moved from the coast to have a nice, peaceful retirement in the Okanagan. While living in Coldstream, Nancy took care of her mother which jump-started her artistic creativity. In 2012, she found herself filling her “me time” with weekly art classes at Nadine’s Fine Arts in Vernon. After a health scare, Nancy joined the Community Art Center. Through that program, she was introduced to a meditative art style called zen doodling, which she has branded as Happy Art.
Happy Art is full of vibrant colours and beautiful landscapes. These pieces give any space a warm and comfortable atmosphere. Nancy’s art will be on display starting on August 2. Be sure to stop by and check out some of the amazing pieces.
