February was a busy month of hosting and getting prepared to host travel media through the end of winter and into spring. Many of these efforts are in support of our Winter Ski, Stay & Play marketing initiatives that promote Kelowna as a four-season playground.
In addition to hosting media in February, some key outlets shared positive Kelowna stories throughout the month, including the following:
- As a result of a Destination BC-led media visit that we supported, Decanter Magazine published “Okanagan: Canada’s global wine region” by Daniel Honan
- The Manual posted “A Guide to British Columbia’s Okanagan Wine Country” by Mark Stock
- Indigenous World Winery received a feature in the Vancouver Sun, and across the Post Media network, titled “West Kelowna’s Indigenous World Winery honours First Nations traditions” by Denise Ryan
- Lastly, as a result of a visit in early February, Leigh McAdam from the outdoor blog HikeBikeTravel, posted “10 Things to do to Make the Most of a Kelowna Winter”
We will be sure to share more Kelowna coverage from this year's winter visits as it is released.
