Alaska Airlines will start providing daily non-stop, seasonal service between Kelowna and Los Angeles on December 19, 2024.
YLW's recent LinkedIn post noted that this new direct route to LA will attract more tourists to enjoy the Okanagan and its world-class ski resorts. The route will also support the region's other tourism-related activities and the business community, particularly Kelowna's tech sector.
“Alaska Airlines has been a valuable partner of YLW’s for more than 28 years, and we are excited to see the continued growth of direct international destinations provided by the airline,” said Geoff Ritchie, Director of Commercial and Air Service at Kelowna International Airport. “It has been over a decade since we had direct service to LAX, so we are thrilled Alaska Airlines is bringing back this integral route for the Okanagan community.”
Tickets are now available on Alaska Airlines's website.
The airline also provides seasonal service from Kelowna to Seattle, which is expected to return this fall.

It also aligns with YLW’s commitment to providing more efficient and seamless travel options to our residents and visitors,” said Mayor Tom Dyas.
