As we’ve progressed through the recovery phase of the COVID-19 pandemic, flights to Kelowna International Airport (YLW) have been resuming, with those working for the airlines and at YLW and other Canadian airports working hard to keep travellers safe.
This month, Air Canada increased its number of weekly flights from Toronto to Kelowna to five times per week (up from four times a week). Swoop also announced its winter schedule, with flights from Toronto Pearson to YLW running four times per week, starting October 25.
“We are very pleased to see Swoop return to YLW for the winter travel season,” says Sam Samaddar, Director, Kelowna International Airport. “This ultra-low fare airline has great opportunities for Kelowna residents to visit family and friends or enjoy a winter getaway with four weekly flights to Toronto served by good arrival and departure times.”
A variety of measures have been introduced at YLW to make sure safety is the top priority for travellers arriving and departing from the airport:
In addition to Air Canada, current service to YLW for domestic travel is also being provided by WestJet, Flair, Pacific Coastal, and other smaller, regional airlines.

Those arriving at YLW can also access information about Kelowna and area at our YLW Information Kiosk, which is back up and running with reduced service, thanks to our dedicated team of volunteers. Our digital display screen at the kiosk continues to remind visitors to explore safely and visitors' guides are available when there is not a volunteer onsite.
