Jenny McAlpine was Communications Coordinator for Tourism Kelowna for the last 3 years; her last day at Tourism Kelowna is today as she takes on a new venture, Jenny McAlpine Weddings.
Today we say goodbye to our Communications Coordinator Jenny McAlpine and welcome Alexa Creelman to the department as her replacement. Tourism Kelowna has been the beneficiary of Jenny’s powerhouse organizational skills and sunny-yet-efficient VIP hosting savvy for the last 6 years. She began with Tourism Kelowna in 2009, first in our Sales Department and then in our Communications Department for the last 3 years. She is turning her considerable organizational prowess to a new venture as she takes on her own business in wedding planning, Jenny McAlpine Weddings. While it is a loss for Tourism Kelowna, we are so proud of Jenny as she takes on this exciting venture and we know she will do it with aplomb.

Alexa Creelman displays cocoa beans in her former role working for an NGO in Peru. Alexa joins Tourism Kelowna as Communications Coordinator.
We are extremely fortunate to have found Alexa Creelman as our new Communications Coordinator. Alexa has worked with Tourism Kelowna in the past, first as a Visitor Counsellor at the Visitor Centre (2012), then as Sales Coordinator in 2013, and proved herself an invaluable team member. Her background in International Relations led her to work in Peru at an NGO where she found herself coordinating and leading site visits for international buyers, copy writing, event organizing, and in speaking capacities. She grew up in Kelowna and is pleased to be returning to her hometown and the familiar turf of Tourism Kelowna. With her intellectual voraciousness and calm-under-pressure personality, we are gaining a team member who will pick up the reigns and run with our intense travel media relations program. Alexa can be reached at alexa@tourismkelowna.com.
Please join us in wishing Jenny great success and in welcoming Alexa to our team!
