Blue skies and scorching temperatures mean summer has officially arrived in Kelowna, with both visitors and residents out exploring our beautiful city. As we head into the BC Day long weekend, we want to thank our stakeholders and all tourism-related businesses for maintaining a high level of service and implementing health and safety protocols aimed at ensuring the well-being of guests, staff, and, in turn, our community. We know that safety is top of mind, and it’s been encouraging to see so many stakeholders share their new protocols and processes through their social media channels.

We encourage all businesses to continue engaging in the high levels of service Kelowna is known for as we head into the long weekend. Adhering to all public health orders, and maintaining rigorous health and safety protocols, remains a priority at the moment, and will allow for everyone, visitors and residents, to continue to enjoy and explore the best our city has to offer.

Our team receives numerous visitor inquiries each day through in-person contact at our Kelowna Visitor Centre, through our live chat, and through our social media channels. In recent weeks, the number of requests asking about health and safety procedures has increased.

To provide the most accurate information to those that are currently in our destination, as well as to those that are considering a trip here, we are asking all of our stakeholders to spend a few minutes updating the COVID-19 measures on their Tourism Kelowna website listing.

We have also put together a post detailing the Ways to Explore Safely in Kelowna for all of those coming into our region; please consider sharing this information or similar messaging with your guests and followers.
