Eligible BC businesses looking to adopt or expand their digital technology can apply for the Grow Your Business Online grant program, which offers $2,400 micro-grants to cover costs associated with establishing or growing an online presence.

The grant program, administered by Small Business BC (SBBC) and Digital Main Street here in BC, is part of the Canada Digital Adoption Program (CDAP) that the Government of Canada launched in March of this year. CDAP will provide $4 billion over four years to support up to 160,000 small and medium-sized businesses across the country.

Eligible costs covered as part of the Grow Your Business Online program include, but are not limited to:

  • Implementing or improving an e-commerce plan or software.
  • Development of a new e-commerce website.
  • Social media advertising, as it relates to e-commerce.
  • Website search optimization.

As part of the program, businesses will have the opportunity to work with an E-commerce Advisor. Successful applicants will receive funds once eligible receipts/proof of payment have been submitted and approved, as it is a reimbursement-style program.

Full details of the program can be found here:

Applications must be submitted through the Digital Main Street website.

Questions about the application process can be directed to SBBC's CDAP team at cdap@smallbusinessbc.ca.
