Applications for the City of Kelowna's art and culture grants are now open, with more than $150,000 in support available.

“These grants are more important than ever this year,” said Christine McWillis, Cultural Services Manager. “The pandemic has been especially hard on our arts and culture community, but they have shown to be resilient. These grants will help support groups as they continue to do exciting and creative work here in Kelowna.”

Local arts, culture, and heritage organizations can apply for the General Operating Grants, which support the operations of the organizations, while non-profit organizations from all sectors can apply for the Project Grants, which supports projects that feature arts, culture or heritage and are open to the public.

The City is hosting virtual information sessions to provide more information to those interested in applying for the grants. The upcoming sessions are:

  • Tuesday, October 6, from 5-7 p.m.
  • Thursday, October 8, from 1:30-3:30 p.m.

Advance registration for the workshops is required. All grant applications will be accepted until Monday, November 30 at 3 p.m. PST.
