During the past week, federal and provincial health authorities have been implementing measures to keep our communities safe from COVID-19, including social distancing and the restriction of events over 50 people. In adherence to these measures, Tourism Kelowna has postponed the Central Okanagan Tourism Industry Showcase that was scheduled to take place on April 16, 2020. As everything is still so fluid, we have not yet secured a new date for the event.
For the last five years, this event has taken place in the spring to kick off the season and to share with the tourism industry and local residents the tourism offerings and innovations available to them. Although the timing of this event is now changing, with the goal of hosting it in late spring/early summer, the event will still be used to educate the tourism industry and kick off the season and recovery that our local community tourism businesses need.
All businesses that had purchased tables for the April event will be issued a full refund including Eventbrite fees. We will announce the new date once it is confirmed and look forward to your participation.
