This summer, #meetmeonbernard is happening from May 19 to September 4. Bernard Avenue in Downtown Kelowna is transforming into a pedestrian street from Water Street then Pandosy Street starting July 1 all the way to Okanagan Lake. It will have patios, performances, programs, art installations, and more.
We encourage everyone to utilize public transportation, car pooling, or active transportation to access Bernard Avenue this summer. Public Transit riders can stop at the Queensway Transit Exchange using popular routes such as 1, 5, 10, 11, and 97 Express.
Bicycle riders can connect to downtown using multi-modal corridors of Abbott Street, Cawston Avenue, The Okanagan Rail Trail, and the Waterfront Promenade, or on street bicycle lanes of Bernard Avenue, Clement Avenue, and Water Street.
Parking for motor vehicles can be best accessed from one of Downtown Kelowna’s parkades including the Chapman Parkade, Library Parkade, or Memorial Parkade. Oversize vehicles can access parking at the City of Kelowna’s City Park Parking Lot, or the Reef Parking Lot at Prospera Place.
Tourism Kelowna would like to thank Westbank First Nation and Okanagan Indian Band for the privilege to live, work, and play on the tm̓xʷúlaʔxʷ (land), that is the unceded and traditional territory of syilx Okanagan peoples, the original stewards of these lands and to whom we give thanks to as our hosts
