Experience the creativity of up-and-coming filmmakers Brittany Clough, Kendra Hesketh, and Pete MacLeod as they present two powerful short films.
Film Lineup:
A Life's Worth – Follow two sisters as they confront the value of life, humanity, and the weight of choice in their mother’s final hours, leading up to her decision to use medical assistance in dying. This intimate story navigates the deeply personal impact of end-of-life choices on family bonds.
But I Like It Here – A high-concept visual journey exploring grief through the eyes of two individuals with starkly different approaches to coping. As they struggle to understand each other’s unique ways of grieving, the film captures the profound isolation that can arise when grief is shared but not truly understood.
Plus, enjoy exclusive trailers from other talented Kelowna filmmakers and a Q&A moderated by C.J. Wilkins with filmmakers Kendra Hesketh and Brittany Clough.
A Life's Worth is presented in association with BCMFTS, and supported by OSIF, and Video Equipment.
But I Like It Here is supported by OSIF, Video Equipment, and Sparrow Grass Field and Flower.
Please be aware that both of these films touch upon grief, loss and death. We recommend bringing tissues.
