Come and join Mission Dance Company as they present this performance featuring their accomplished and passionate dancers, magical growing Christmas tree plus narration to enhance the understanding of this classic story. You are taken back in time with the majestic dancing of the party guests and lively seasonal celebrations. We witness the magic and surprising eccentricity of Uncle Drosslemeyer who brings many gifts to the party, including his special creation of the Nutcracker. The performers will have their audience in a state of suspense and laughter throughout the entirety of the show.
Feel the joy of the season through dance and this age-old tale as you follow young Clara through her extraordinary dream of an adventure. Witness the exquisite Sugar-Plum Fairy and her Prince, the dancing reindeer, silly clowns and the exciting battle between the pestering mice and the Nutcracker Soldier’s devoted army.
All audience members will be swept away in time by the magic of this production featuring our very own Mission Dance Company principal dancers and the impressive young dancers of Mission Dance Centre as they all fill the stage…leaving everyone to wonder how they can balance and twirl on just the tip of their special pointe shoes. A story full of so many characters to enjoy: fun, suspenseful, beautiful, eccentric, kind, mischievous, charming.
