The Okanagan Grape Escape is an incredible two-day bike ride that will have participants traveling between 60 and 150km over Kelowna's breathtaking landscapes and challenging hills. Cyclists will discover first hand why the area is celebrated for its wine and fresh fruit with complimentary samples at rest stops.
The weekend will offer short and long routes on both Saturday and Sunday, as well as a 100km route on Saturday. This ride is suitable for any bike, however, some cycling experience is recommended and minimum cycling speeds will be suggested for the longer routes.
Participants will be fully supported with a marked and mapped route, emergency mechanical support, first aid, and a purchase shuttle service which will pick-up purchases and bring them back to the finish line. Breakfasts and lunches will be provided throughout the weekend and a celebration dinner will be hosted on Saturday night recognizing the hard work and fundraising achievements of cyclists.
All participants must raise a minimum of $350.00 to participate in the event. If the minimum has not been achieved by event weekend participants will be asked to cover the difference in order to participate.
Best of all, this event supports people living with multiple sclerosis in BC, and funds research to find the cause and cure of MS.
