Join us for a fun-filled evening of fermenting, during which we will teach you the ancient art of fermenting Korean kimchi. Kimchi is a traditional Korean dish made from a variety of gut-loving vegetables such as Napa cabbage, daikon, ginger, garlic, and red chilli. Depending on the region of Korea, you can make many different versions.
At the workshop, you will learn how to make your very own jar of kimchi and go home with all the instruments you need to continue fermenting kimchi and other vegetables at home.
To support Apple Fest and the local farmers impacted by BC Tree Fruits Cooperative's closure, we will substitute local Okanagan apples for traditional Asian pears.
Location: Chickpeace Zero Waste Refillery, 1851 Kirschner Rd Unit #3
Includes: 1L fermentation jar, fermenting weight and recipe card
