A celebrated soloist and chamber musician, German-born cellist Leonard Elschenbroich has performed with orchestras around the world. Described by the New York Times as “a musician of great technical prowess, intellectual curiosity, and expressive depth,” his recordings and performances include works by Beethoven, Shostakovich, and Rachmaninov. As a champion of new music, he has also commissioned and performed works by several contemporary composers.
