The event consists of a set of film screenings, art gallery activities, a speaker series, book club, roundtable, and performance, all under the banner of a “Feminist Horror Festival.” Our partners currently include the Okanagan Regional Library, OC, UBCO, Kelowna Art Gallery, Kelowna Women’s Shelter, Queerphoria, Bernie’s, the Gather, Mosaic Books, and a handful of others.
Most of the events are free to the public, except for one performance and an afterparty. Using the lead up to Halloween, we are organizing this series as a way to help raise awareness for gender-based violence.
