Our Taste the Okanagan series covers all the seasons in the beautiful and bountiful Okanagan. Our Summer class will highlight the local produce, meats and fish that become abundant this time of year. Learn how to prepare these ingredients to highlight their natural beauty and flavour.

For this second in our Taste the Okanagan series we are starting our class with a visit to the popular Kelowna Farmer’s Market and then heading into the kitchen to prepare a farm fresh lunch of seasonal ingredients.

There are two opportunities to enjoy this class Wednesday, July 20 or join us on Wednesday, August 10.

What Will I Learn?

How to select and source ingredients from the Okanagan

Which foods & ingredients are in season during the Summer

What cooking methods to use for in season ingredients

How to create dishes in tune with the Summer season

Class will begin at the Kelowna Farmer’s Market with a shop for local ingredients with Chef Kelsey. Chef will tour the class to some of her favourite farmers to select product and share why they are some of her go-to vendors. After gathering up your market ingredients you will then return to The Okanagan Table to prepare lunch. The class will be a mix of demonstration and hands-on lessons with a very seasonal menu based on the farmer market ingredients available on our visit.

Price includes farmer’s market tour, lunch inspired by your class, beverages, gratuity and taxes. Price is per person. (Please note transportation to the market and to The Okanagan Table is your own responsibility.)

We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule the class for a full refund. All cancellations must be received one week in advance for a full refund.
