The Jazz Masters’ concert welcomes feature artist, Alto saxophonist; Campbell Ryga. He’s originally from Summerland and has lived in Vancouver, Toronto, and New York, pursuing his jazz studies and building his vocation. With an extensive recording and touring career, and many awards including three Junos, he is now currently on the faculty at Kwantlen Polytechnic University in Langley, BC. Ryga will be playing in both halves of the concert.

The first half of the concert is a mix of tunes performed by each of the jazz festival adjudicators, showcasing their talents. The artists often collaborate with one another to create something unique. Whether it’s vocal, saxophone, trumpet, or piano, the tunes and arrangements are always amazing! The BC Interior Jazz Festival adjudicators for this year are David Restivo, Pat Belliveau, Joel Gray, Neville Bowman, Bernie Addington, Sean Bray, Kim Kleineberg, Kinga Heming, and Jaclyn Guillou.

The second half features the powerful swinging sound of the Michael Garding Big Band. Sit back and enjoy the energy and full sound they bring to the stage!
