The popular Interior Savings Sunrise Rotary RibFest, with its increasing attendance, will continue to offer top-notch music and other stage entertainment, family activities featuring a Kids Zone, a beverage garden, market vendors, and great barbeque ribs and chicken from our out-of-town Ribbers, along with a variety of food and beverages from local food vendors all three days of RibFest. And yes, entrance will continue to be free for everyone! The 4th annual event will have more to offer than ever before.

The event kicks off on Friday, August 23 at 12 p.m. Room To Dance is first on stage. This duo of JC and Andy Plett will get the crowd moving with some classic rock and country tunes.  Moni Funk will follow and will groove in with some '70s and '80s dance, soul, funk, and Motown. Great White North is an alternative folk-rock band out of Oliver and will hit the stage mid-afternoon.  NFA will wow the crowd with the best hits of the '80s and '90s through the dinner hour. Finally, get your cowboy boots and Wranglers on for Lost N Found, who will headline Friday night at 8 p.m.

The main stage will be bustling with activity on Saturday as well with entertainment starting for the lunch crowd at 12 p.m. The jazz stylings of R.G. Peever will be up first, followed by Joshua Smith, a soul/funk artist from Halifax.  Becca Mabbett will bring country back to the stage just before the judging event, while Sista B & the Boyz will surely get the festival goers up and moving with fun covers like, “Love Shack” and “Walkin’ on Sunshine.”  Finally, the Linus Band will rock the stage with cover songs that everyone will get up and dance to.

Make sure you come back on Sunday for more on Family Fun Day! August 25 is the last day of the event but there will be no shortage of entertainment to keep the crowds singing and dancing as they enjoy all of the festivities. Josh & Bex is a singer/songwriting duo who will open up the stage at noon. Post-Modern Connection, a quartet of Indie-soul pop music, will perform at 1 p.m., followed by Ellen Churchill. Under The Rocks, a four-piece bluegrass band, will close out the event.
