You can share all the great hiking trails, point out the hot spots to visit and land in the vineyard so that you can enjoy a great Chef’s Table Dinner. Gather everyone into groups for larger events or have delegates compete on their own for your smaller meetings. This is great for team building as it gets everyone working together and brings out that little bit of competitiveness that is in all of us. Looking for a spot to host your own culinary cook-off, try the Delta Hotels by Marriott Grand Resort, or Okanagan College as they have commercial kitchens or the Laurel Packinghouse has a great space that you can set up and create kitchen stations in the room (I’ve been part of a group that has done this). It’s not just fun to be a part of the competition but also very entertaining to watch.

Whether you want to set up a morning of social golfing, run a tournament by taking over a golf course such as The Harvest Golf Club, Gallagher’s Canyon Golf and Country Club or visit Kelowna’s putting course 19 Greens there is a golf option for even non golfers and a great way to enjoy being outdoors. Courses in Kelowna begin to open in March and close in late October/early November.

Our community has many options throughout the year to help one of our local non-profits by volunteering with them for a few hours. Some options include cooking a meal at the Kelowna Gospel Mission, help sort donations and prepare baskets at the Central Okanagan Foodbank, bring your group together for a private soup making event that supports the Kelowna Womens Shelter with Soup Sisters Kelowna, or support mental health by working on the farm with local chefs at Start Fresh Kitchen.
