One of the world’s most popular operas is coming to Kelowna. This season Opera Kelowna is putting on performances of Puccini’s La bohème. The opera is regularly performed around the world and has inspired many other stories including the 1996 musical Rent which was based on La bohème.

Set in the 1840s, La bohème contains four acts and centres around a number of young Parisians and the strife the group encounters as they seek both love and art.
