Meet Emily, one of our #exploreKelowna Creators.
Ever scrolled through Instagram and stumbled upon pictures that make you want to pack your bags and move immediately? If Kelowna's beauty has ever called to you, then you've probably seen Emily Harrison's captivating captures. But Emily isn't just a tourist; she's a local content creator who's found a way to turn her Okanagan adventures into a stunning online presence.

Originally from a cozy corner of Ontario's Niagara region, Emily found herself working remotely thanks to the pandemic. It was then that Kelowna's irresistible charm reeled her in. Now, she's a happy resident, living a life where every day feels like a vacation.
Emily's passion for creating content stems from a lifelong love of capturing the magic of the outdoors. And Kelowna has become her muse. "Since touching down in Kelowna, turning my weekend exploits into Insta-worthy moments has become second nature." What truly drives her is showcasing Kelowna's authenticity and the vast array of experiences it offers. In her eyes, there's truly something here for everyone.

But Emily's life isn't all about content creation. By day, she dives into the fast-paced world of marketing as a Senior Marketing Manager for a CPG company. But come evening, you'll likely find her sweating it out with some CrossFit or enjoying a friendly game of Pickleball.
Her hobbies are a perfect reflection of the Okanagan lifestyle. "From hiking to paddleboarding, snowshoeing to wine-tasting, I'm soaking up every ounce of adventure this place has to offer. I also enjoy getting the chance to glam up and hit the local wineries or dive into some mouthwatering eats with friends. Living in Kelowna fills my life with incredible experiences that bring me immense joy."

So, what is it exactly that Emily cherishes most about living in Kelowna? "Kelowna is the Goldilocks of cities—it's just right. Tucked away in the heart of BC's Interior, Kelowna is a treasure trove of natural wonders. The scenic hikes, cascading waterfalls, pristine lakes, and oh-so-famous wineries. Plus, there's that perfect small-town vibe where I can hit up the farmer’s market one minute and jet off from the international airport the next."
For first-time visitors, Emily has a few must-dos:
- Uncork the Magic: "Kelowna's wineries are off the charts, Quails' Gate Winery holds a special place in my heart for its unique charm and exquisite wines."
- Dive into an Outdoor Adventure: "A hike up Pincushion Mountain followed by paddleboarding on Okanagan Lake offers the perfect blend of thrill and serenity."
- Savor the Sunset: "Indulge in a sunset meal with a view, whether it's the upscale experience of Home Block Restaurant at CedarCreek Estate Winery or a simple picnic at Johns Family Nature Conservancy. By the end of your trip, you will be wondering if you should move here too!"
But wait, there's more! As a local insider tip, Emily highly recommends checking out Crown & Thieves Winery, "This hidden gem is full of character, offering wine tastings, a rooftop patio with stunning views, and an incredible speakeasy below. Keep an eye out for their exciting events—they're not to be missed!"
