This recipe features a locally distilled and crowd favourite gin. Handcrafted in copper stills in downtown Kelowna, Urban Distilleries’ Spirit Bear Gin provides a twist on the classic juniper and spice flavor profile of gin but with an added Kelowna kick with the infused hints of Okanagan lavender and apple sourced from local orchards. It really is the Bee’s Knees!
- 1.5oz Urban Distillery Spirit Bear Gin
- 1oz freshly squeezed lemon juice
- .75oz honey syrup (1 cup honey + 1 cup water)
- 2 spriga of thyme
In a shaker, muddle 1 sprig of thyme then add the rest of the ingredients with enough ice to fill the shaker.
Shake away until the tin is ice cold. Double strain the cocktail using a hawthorn strainer and a tea strainer into a martini glass.
Garnish remaining sprig of thyme.
