'Tis the season to spread holiday cheer and there is no better way to do that than by attending concerts, crafting hand-made ornaments, and finding the perfect gift that supports our local arts and culture venues. Rotary Centre for the Arts
If you’re looking to fill your calendar with holiday-themed events, look no further than the Rotary Centre for the Arts. From November 28 to December 22 there are musicals, markets, Christmas theme comedy, and SO much more. In the new year, there is still plenty to enjoy, with film showcases, concerts, comedy shows, and more being added regularly, visit their events calendar to stay up to date. Plus you can sign up for Winter Arts Programs to express your creative side, there are various programs for youth and adults starting in January 2025.
Art Lovers Gallery
Are you looking for something a little different for your holiday card this year? Book photos at the Art Lovers Gallery with Santa Grinch and Max! Appointments are available December 13 to 15 from 12 – 4 pm, be sure to reserve early so you don’t miss out. While you’re visiting, browse the art of Dr. Seuss and local Okanagan Artists, you’re sure to find the perfect gift for the art lover *wink* in your life!
Kelowna Art Gallery
There’s always plenty to do at the Kelowna Art Gallery, but this season you don’t want to miss the Downtown Kelowna Light Up: Lantern Making. Before visiting Stuart Park for the Light Up at 5 pm on November 30, visit the gallery and craft a little holiday cheer. If you can’t make it on November 30, Family Sundays or Free Admission Thursdays are also a great time to visit and take in the rotating exhibits or get creative in the Art Lab.
Kelowna Actors Studio
For some, seeing a “show” during the holidays is all part of the tradition and now is the time to book your tickets for the Kelowna Actors Studio’s “Matilda” based on the beloved Roald Dahl novel. Several showings are nearly sold out, so book now. If a holiday show isn’t on your list this season, consider their 2025 Golden Ticket promotion and get two tickets for any show during the 2025 season for just $149 + tax.
Kelowna Museums
With three locations to choose from, Kelowna Museums are “the caretakers of history, science, and human legacy” that share the story of the Okanagan. Whether you’re interested in the agricultural and viticultural roots, the military heritage of those who served in the armed forces, or the natural and human history of the Okanagan Valley, you’re sure to learn new and interesting facts. Okanagan Symphony Orchestra
Sharing live music in the Okanagan for 65 years, the Okanagan Symphony Orchestra will be showcasing Messiah December 20 in Kelowna, December 21 in Penticton, and December 22 in Vernon.
