With all seven of the project's murals located within a couple of blocks from Hwy 33 and Rutland Road, it’s an easy walk about to enjoy some awesome art, created by some world-renowned muralists.

Despite each artist having drastically different styles, they all share two things: lots of colours and a passion for their art. We were fortunate to spend some time with a few of the artists to learn how they set things up and how their visions come to life. Despite being busy painting, each of them took some time to chat with us about their art.

Having lived in Rutland for about half of my life. I’m really proud of my community, but this adds an extra element of joy for those of us who live here. So come enjoy and explore my community and check out all of the cool new art.

The murals are anticipated to be completed early next week. URBA will be hosting an Urban Art and Artisan Market on Friday, August 23, from 12-6 p.m., to celebrate the project. For more info on the murals, artists, and locations visit uptownmurals, com.
