Grown Up Chai Tea  (Called, "PS: Chai Love You")

Enjoy this black tea cocktail with a delicious combination of cinnamon, cloves, cardamom, tea, and gin. In this recipe, I used Urban Distilleries'' Spirit Bear Gin because it is made from local grains, and 10 fruits and botanicals including Okanagan apples and Okanagan lavender.  This fragrant local gin is the perfect spirit to match with the spiced chai tea that is central to this drink.

We love visiting the local wineries at this time of year because the busy season and harvest are both over, so the winemakers have more time to visit. This time of year presents the best opportunity for an intimate or technical wine experience where you can learn about the wines from the people who are making them.

A couple of November days last week felt more like spring with the blue skies, and warm temperatures that reached 17°C. It was so warm outside that I was in shorts and a t-shirt and we even kicked off our shoes and walked in the water. We had lunch at Memphis Blues BBQ House then visited a few of our favourite parks and beaches, the kids wrestled in leaf piles and generally just played. We hope to catch a some more awesome weather before the real winter arrives in Kelowna!
