Stewardship

Policies

Tourism Kelowna is committed to ensuring our region stays beautiful, welcoming, and sustainable. We have developed policies that show our commitment to both sustainability and diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI). We're always working to reduce the environmental impact of tourism, support local businesses, and protect what makes Kelowna special. At the same time, we’re focused on creating a more inclusive experience where everyone feels welcome, no matter their background. It’s all part of our mission to create a tourism economy that is sustainable and welcoming for both visitors and residents.

Sustainability Policy

Tourism Kelowna is committed to the principles of sustainable tourism in the region of Kelowna and the Central Okanagan. Our dedication is rooted in the preservation of Kelowna's natural and cultural heritage, the well-being of local communities, and the mitigation of the environmental impact of tourism activities. This Sustainability Policy outlines our vision for responsible tourism and serves as our guiding document to make a positive, long-lasting impact on Kelowna and its surroundings.
