Here is an opportunity to offer your clients a unique tour in Kelowna and the Okanagan Valley. Combine hanging basket making with private gardens, winery and orchard tours.
Day One
Creating Hanging Baskets
For large groups of 30 or more the tour will be split in to two groups:
AM Schedule:
Group 1 – Will spend the morning learning the art of building hanging baskets with the City of Kelowna’s head gardener. The baskets that your group creates will be hung throughout the cities downtown centre.
Group 2 - Will enjoy a tour of the city’s Cultural District, Wine & Orchard Industry museums and Kasugai Gardens.
Lunch – Both groups will enjoy lunch together at one of Kelowna’s fine restaurants.
PM Schedule
Groups 1 and 2 will swap for the afternoon.
Summerhill Pyramid Winery – Tour and Dinner
Dinner is a Gala Banquet-styled dinner with door prizes for everyone.
This is the Okanagan’s only certified organic winery. Summerhill ages all of its wine for a minimum of 30 days in an impressive four-storey, 3,249-square-foot replica of the Great Pyramid of Egypt, Cepos. Wines from Summerhill were the exclusive wines served at the Academy Awards in Los Angels in 2003 & 2004.
Day Two
Private Gardens
Tour of three private gardens with morning coffee or tea served in one of the gardens. A local gardening expert will join your group and introduce you to the creators of each of the private gardens.
Kelowna Land & Orchard Co. and Teahouse - Tour & Lunch
This 140 –acre orchard offers a unique farm experience. Enjoy a 45-minute guided tour through the orchards on a covered farm wagon and enjoy breathtaking views of Okanagan Lake and the City of Kelowna. Learn what it takes to turn blossoms into the apples we enjoy and develop new varieties for the marketplace. Browse in the country store, which boasts a great selection of fresh fruits, preserves and local crafts. Be sure to try their own delicious 100% pure fresh pressed apple juice. This orchard is also home to the Raven Ridge Cidery that produces ice cider from such varieties as Granny Smith, Fuji, Braburne, and Ambrosia.
Mission Hill Family Estate Winery
Located in the heart of British Columbia’s Okanagan Valley, this family-owned winery is known for producing distinctive, internationally acclaimed wines. Visitors are encouraged to leave behind the hurried pace of daily life as they immerse themselves in an environment dedicated to wine, food, and the arts.
The Jammery – Tour and Dinner
Take a tour of the jam-making facility and sample a variety or the made-on-site products: syrups, pepper jellies, traditional jams, no sugar added jams and jams with liqueurs. Browse in the gift shop where you can purchase these and many other locally make treasures.
