Kelowna Annouces End of Golf Withdrawal

According to the calendar on the wall, it is not officially spring yet. In fact, residents in many Canadian cities are still shoveling snow off their doorsteps and donning winter attire. Not so in Kelowna where many golf courses are already open for the season.

Typically golf season begins closer to the end of March, meaning that the premature spring temperatures have allowed golf courses in the area to open as much as two weeks earlier than expected. With fifteen courses in the immediate vicinity of Kelowna and 53 in the Okanagan Valley, there are always a host of golf options.

If you have a need to satisfy the “golf itch” so typical of the end of winter, go to http://www.tourismkelowna.com/comesee/ to check out the spring golf packages available.

PS: For all those Toronto-area golf aficionados, take WestJet’s Toronto-Kelowna non-stop flight in the morning, and you’ll be on the fairway in the afternoon!
