Kelowna, BC Tourism Kelowna is pleased to announce the results its 2005 Tourism Advisory Council election. The election was held Thursday, January 27 at the 2nd Annual Tourism Kelowna Stakeholders’ Meeting at the Coast Capri Hotel.
The elected Tourism Advisory Council (TAC) is a committee of Tourism Kelowna that is committed to increasing year-round tourism in Kelowna and the surrounding area. The role of the TAC is to advise on, approve, and monitor the marketing objectives, and overall direction of Tourism Kelowna on behalf of the local tourism industry, and to communicate progress to the Kelowna Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors.
Eligible voters were those tourism-related voting members of the Kelowna Chamber of Commerce. Other items on the Stakeholders’ Meeting Agenda included a presentation of Tourism Kelowna’s new tourism brand.
